How to make cheap calls from Ireland to Poland
A number of customers have contacted us over the last few weeks to ask about calls from Ireland to Poland. This is hardly surprising - as I witnessed on a recent trip to Dublin, there is a large and thriving Polish community in the city and the telecoms market is not as developed as it is in the UK.

Calling from an Irish landline to Poland
- Check out our rates for cheap international calls from Ireland to Poland - at the date of this blog entry, we charge 3c/min to Poland landline and 10c/min to Poland mobiles (plus a 5c connection charge)
- Find out whether your Irish landline provider includes any 'free minutes' to Irish landlines (most do) and, if so, when these are available (also check to see if there are any limits on call duration - some providers require you to hang up and redial after 60 minutes otherwise you'll start getting charged)
- If your Irish landline has 'free minutes' then to make a call to Poland simply dial our 01 24 76 155 access number followed by your PIN (which we will send to you on purchase) and then the full international number beginning 0048
- If your Irish landline does not have 'free minutes' then to make a call to Poland simply dial our 18 00 93 66 70 freefone access number followed by your PIN and then the full international number beginning 0048 - using our freefone access number means that you will not be charged for the call by your landline provider and the only additional charges are an extra 0.4 cents/min to add to our rates; so calls to Poland landline are 3.4c/min and to Poland mobile are 10.4c/min
Calling from an Irish pay monthly mobile to Poland
- If you don't already have a pay monthly mobile, then we'd recommend researching the best value package rather than just going with the first offer you see - there are lots of online resources to find the right deal and Carphone Warehouse also offers handsets and tariffs from most of the mobile providers in Ireland (if you are yet to establish a credit rating in Ireland it can be difficult to get a pay monthly phone so you will need to go for a pay as you go deal (see below))
- Your Irish pay monthly mobile will come with a bundle of 'free minutes' which usually include calls to landlines and other Irish mobiles - assuming you have free calls to Irish landlines, calls to our access number will be included (just be careful that you don't run out of free minutes since if you do the call to our access number will be charged as a standard rate Irish landline call)
- To make a call to Poland simply dial our 01 24 76 155 access number followed by your PIN and then the full international number beginning 0048
Calling from an Irish pay as you go mobile to Poland
- With a pay as you go mobile, calls to our access number will be charged as a standard Irish landline call so when you are researching the best value package, ensure that the rate to call Irish landlines is as low as possible. One particularly good deal from eMobile at the moment gets you unlimited free landline calls for just €10/month (better value than a lot of pay monthly deals!), but there are others so it pays to shop around
- Work out the total cost of your call by adding together our rate and the cost of calling our access number - using eMobile you wouldn't pay anything to call our access number so you'd still only be paying 3c/min to Poland landline and 10c/min to Poland mobile
